Downtown Rochester Celebrates National Free Comic Book Day May 6

Jetpack Comics and Rochester Main Street roll out the red carpet as thousands of comic book fans gather in downtown Rochester on Saturday, May 6 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. From interactive participation at local businesses to fun activities in Central Square by students of Cocheco Arts & Technology Academy, exhibits, Union Street Parking Lot vendors, and guest artists, the comic book fans will travel store to store collecting free comics. Participating businesses include: Humane Lodge #21 F. & A. M. , Happy Pappy’s Country Store, Rochester Public Library,First Methodist Church, First Church Congregational, Federal Savings bank, Crosspoint Church, Grace Community Church, Union Street Antiques and Collectibles, The Garage at the Governor’s Inn, Collec-Tiques, Skeletones, Jetpack Comics, Revolution Taproom & Grilll, At Peace Body Art, RiverStones Custom Framing, Sweet Peaches Candy & Confections, Studley’s Flower Gardens and Rochester Main Street. Participants can pick up their scavenger hunt cards at Jetpack Comics and when completed, turn them back in for a drawing of door prizes.
