Rochester Police investigating crash that damaged telephone pole

On June 11, 2017 at approximately 7:24 AM, the Rochester Police Department, Rochester Fire Department and American Ambulance responded to the intersection of Charles St. and Glen St. for a report of a motor vehicle collision into a utility pole.  The investigation revealed that the 30-year-old driver was operating a minivan on Charles Steet when the vehicle went off the roadway and struck the pole.  The impact fractured the pole and caused significant damage to the vehicle.  The vehicle also struck a fence and a parked vehicle, causing minor damage.

Saylor was transported to an area hospital as a precaution.  The area of Charles St. between Knight Street and Granite Street was been closed down while the pole gets replaced.
