Rochester Police Investigating After Car Crashes Into Telephone Pole

On June 18, 2017 at approximately 8:23 PM Rochester Police, Rochester Fire and Frisbie EMS responded to the area of 27 Maple Street for a report of a motor vehicle into a pole. The vehicle was found to be a 2002 Ford Explorer being driven by Katherine Canney, 27 of Farmington.

The Rochester Police Department initiated an investigation at the scene of the accident and determined that the vehicle was travelling South on the one way portion of Maple Street when it veered into the utility pole.  The reason for the vehicle turning into the pole is still under investigation at this time.       


The vehicle had to be towed from the scene. A passenger who was identified as Kyle Hamel, 27 of Rochester was transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital for reasons unrelated to the accident. There was minor damage to the pole and there was no reported loss of power in the area related to the accident.
