ROCHESTER — City Manager Daniel Fitzpatrick is pleased to announce that Ian Rohrbacher, the Chief Operator of the Rochester Water Department, was featured in the summer edition of the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services newsletter.
In the spotlight article, Rohrbacher offers an in-depth look at the operations of the water system he oversees and provides some insight into why he chose to get into the water distribution field.
He cited his desire to provide clean water to the community, the opportunities for enrichment and skill development that come from having a diverse set of responsibilities each day and the chances he’s had to meet a variety of people who all impact the waterworks industry in some way.
Rohrbacher also gave a look into his personal life beyond tracking the heartbeat of Rochester’s complex water system, noting that since he was in high school he has run his own business specializing in data recovery and building custom computers that are ideal for high speed gaming.
